Engine 3 crews extinguished a fire on the first floor of the residence. During fire attack, a resident was found and removed from the structure, but pronounced deceased. Wilmington Fire Marshals Office is investigating.

WFD units responded to a residence that housed several individuals. Heavy fire was found on the third floor and was extinguished by Engine 5. No injuries were reported.
